U.S. Senator and Congressman Visit Portage Sites

U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) visited the U.S. Department of Energy Mound Site in Miamisburg, Ohio, in January. As part of his visit, Sen. Brown toured the Operable Unit 1 area to observe the excavation work being conducted by the Accelerated Remediation Company, Portage’s joint venture with Shaw.

Also in January, U.S. Congressman Ben Luján (D-New Mexico) visited Portage’s Los Alamos office. Rep. Luján was briefed on Portage’s environmental remediation projects as well as our community outreach in northern New Mexico.
